Producing a great blend of coffee requires the finest coffee beansArabica

Arabica is a species of coffee that is grown in Ethiopia and Yemen. It has been suggested that coffea Arabica is the first species of coffee to be cultivated, having been grown in southwest Arabia for over 1,000 years. Arabica is a popular coffee bean as it is considered to produce better coffee than other commercially cultivated species of coffee.

Whilst there is a variety of different coffee species, the two that are mainly cultivated are Arabica and Robusta; Arabica coffee accounts for over 75% of the world’s production of coffee, where as the Robusta accounts for approximately 20%.

Growth of Coffee BeansArabica coffee beans grow in semitropical climates close to the equator at high altitudes, both in the western and eastern hemispheres. Robusta coffee beans can only be found in the eastern hemisphere and flourish in equatorial climates but at low altitudes. Espresso made using Arabica beans has a smooth texture; it is often described as mellow with a rich and delicate taste. It gives the espresso a sharp and satisfying flavour. The Robusta beans add body to the espresso.

Caffe Vinci provides a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans carefully selected to create the distinctive Caffe Vinci flavour.
